Trust & Transparency
Provider Verification Standards
Our commitment to honest marketplace representation, transparent contractor requirements, and clear consumer protection standards.
1. Our Screening Standard
Independent contractors who participate in the ServiceFind Pros referral network are evaluated based on business identity, contact authenticity, and self-reported licensing data.
Mandatory Consumer Notice: Availability and credentials vary by provider. Verify licensing, insurance, pricing, and scope directly before booking. ServiceFind Pros does not guarantee or bond individual contractor performance.
2. What Homeowners Must Verify Directly
Before issuing deposits or permitting trade work to commence on your property, we advise taking three verification steps:
- 1. Active Trade License: Request the contractor's state or municipal license number and confirm active status through your state licensing board (e.g. CSLB, TDLR, DBPR).
- 2. Proof of Insurance: Request a direct Certificate of Insurance (COI) for general commercial liability and workers' compensation coverage.
- 3. Written Contract & Warranty: Ensure all promises, scope limits, equipment models, and workmanship warranties are documented in writing.
3. No Synthetic Reviews or False Endorsements
We strictly forbid fabricated customer reviews, synthetic five-star ratings, or claiming all providers are vetted without active verification. Where customer feedback is shown, it reflects real customer interactions.
